Explaining to non-dancers the sensual aspect of dancing.

I think it’s like acting in a play or being in a music video. It is a game people play that has many benefits such as developing social skills, self-expression and an antidote to loneliness.

In some situations It’s practice for the real thing. In other cases they are not acting.

For Sensual Bachata understand that bachata was invented in a brothel and was considered vulgar for a couple decades. Call it what it is. A sexual dance that your good at, and have learned to see as more then just a dance. You have made it a skill.

For a lot of people social dancing looks sexual to them because they have been brainwashed by pop culture to be over-sexualized, to think and see things in that way.

Social Dancers are able to Convey Sexiness. What I mean is that:

Sensual Dancers are able to make the dance extra sexy as a 'performance' without necessarily having to be aroused, because they understand how to convey this impression voluntarily, on command. A good example of that: Strippers are very good at conveying sexiness without actually being aroused or in the mood.
