Silver Run Falls, North Carolina -- 4K Cinematic

Silver Run Falls is an easy and short hike off of Hwy 107 along Silver Run Creek near Cashiers, North Carolina. This is a very easy and short hike in the Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains and is a great spot for kids or elderly people who may not be up for a more strenuous hike. This hike has a wide trail, easy to walk, has just a few stairs with some creek stops along the way. As you approach the falls, the trail splits and has several roots, so wear proper footing. One side will lead to a great big rock that overlooks the scene from a great vantage point. The other side will take you to a spot right next to the falls. This is a great relaxation spot on a hot day, however, this particular day was in December and it was a bit icy. Silver Run Falls is a very popular waterfall and finding a time where you can be alone for an extended period may be difficult. This is one of the WC 100 Challenge.
