How to Paint Mountains with Watercolor for Beginners

In this full length tutorial, I will show you the simple and fun way to paint this loose mountain and lake scene in watercolor. I will also go through how to paint water, mountains and trees using a combination of wet-in-wet and wet-on-dry techniques.

Note: the blue areas of the mountains were added at the end as a last minute change, as I felt the previous wash was too weak and decided to positively paint the mountains in so that they stand out and come forward against the sky.
