THE FIRST RULE OF GREAT WRITING

THE FIRST RULE OF GREAT WRITING IS THAT THE READER CANNOT READ YOUR MIND. Most writer's ego gets the best of them... They forget that writing is a two communication with another human. We can forgive beginner writers for messing this up. But, there are a ton of intermediate writers whose ego pushes them to build convoluted, campy, and complicated stories without the foundation to support it. This forces the reader to make huge jumps in their own imagination to figure out what the hell is going on.
Transition sentences, details, characterization, setting, and world building remedy this problem.
