26.02.22 Thousands of Chechen soldiers have gathered in Grozny's central square to show their support for Russia in the Ukraine war.
"I would like to give some advice to the still acting President Selensky before he becomes the ex-president of Ukraine. I would like him to call our president, Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and ask for an apology," Ramzan Kadyrov, head of the constituent republic of Chechnya, told his soldiers on Friday.

He said the Chechen military is ready to protect the residents of the Donbass should an order to that effect be issued. "We have a list of 70,000 people ready to fight as volunteers for our state, for Russia," Kadyrov said.
