Piano In Artistic Spaces III/Cognierescent Phantasmagory

After wandering through the old Oamaru Old Precinct and having played more pianos than I could wave a boomerang at, having lost count after piano five or six, leading to various other pianistic sub-adventures, I ascended some stairs that in beyond their bannisterial supports were, in the small space between the stair and the wall, a piano precisely like my own, an upright Grande Pianola, and next to it an Harmonium, very similar also to my own Harmonium. There at the top of the stairs was a tremendous vista of eyes and terrific faces, one of my favourite artists since the previous century, Donna Demente. I asked if I might play the piano and to my delight she said yes. So this is what I played, inspired by the surroundings and the thick volume of Dali that my father said he had made and re-invented a Victorian bookholding rack that it would be good for propping up to display. Suitably inspired by the magnificent art works before me this spontaneous invention was clunked out, I've decided to entitle 'Cognierescent Phantasmagory'.
