It was a long trip, but I finally beat this game and figured out the best strategy. Really you need mostly sniper towers, one cannon tower for the tanks near the end and maybe a repeating crossbow tower. The ballista tower just didn't cut it for me on this level, but if I can give one piece of advice - RANGE UPGRADE. The better the range, coupled with some damage on a tower made this mission so much easier. Plus putting them is certain spots allows them to attack without being in range of retaliation. Definitely some tweaking needs to be done, but I might run this again to see the other ending. Hope this strategy helped!
