Busy Morning Cereal Hack / #short / Breakfast Hack / Busy Mom Morning Hack

We are a homeschooling family with five kids at home, six kids total. Our channel is about large family life, homeschooling, and finding the blessing in everyday. I am currently homeschooling a teenager, two elementary aged children and a preschooler. (I am also homeschooling our toddler-but some people don’t consider that homeschool-I do!)

In today’s #short I want to share with you my easy breakfast hack. Busy mornings are a daily occurrence around here. Sometimes my kids like to wake up super duper early and they are at that age where they want to practice some independence and help themselves to cereal in the morning. This is great! Except for the cereal waste that ends up on the floor from over pouring, and the waste that ends up in the garbage from filling the bowl to the brim and not finishing. I pre package cereal servings into zip lock bags, and then my children can easily grab a baggie, empty it into a bowl and snack on cereal while I wake up and have my coffee. Everyone wins! The kids get a little morning snack, I get my coffee and a whole lot less clean up in the morning.

Not everyday is easy, but everyday is a blessing.

Here on our channel I create a lot of homeschooling content. We are currently using The Good and The Beautiful curriculum for language arts and history.
