A BBC Radio play based on a part of Bram Stoker's classic horror novel DRACULA which tells of the sea voyage that brought the vampire count from Transylvania to England. But suppose there were details about that voyage that were never revealed ... until now?

In the late summer of 1897, the schooner Demeter sets sail from the port of Varna on the Black Sea on a voyage to Whitby in the south of England. Among her cargo are, according to the manifest, large boxes containing soil from Transylvania.

But this is a voyage unlike any other. Soon the whole crew becomes aware of something very wrong lurking about and in the dark corners of the ship ... and the voyage turns into a terrifying ordeal ...
