Sunday Wire (#360) - January 31, 2021 - Patrick Henningsen on Group Think and Year Zero
Patrick Henningsen monologues about how it is possible for society to have reached this stage of inane, unquestioning judgement when it comes to our allowing of governments and corporations to dominate our lives and implement draconian and invasive policies that would never have been acceptable under non-pandemic circumstances.
He compares this massive Group Think hysteria to Year Zero - a reference to when in 1975 the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia destroyed or jettisoned the culture and history of its entire population - a concept that Wikipedia describes as such:
The idea behind Year Zero was that all culture and traditions within a society must be completely destroyed or discarded, and a new revolutionary culture must replace it, starting from scratch. All of the history of a nation or people before Year Zero would be largely deemed irrelevant, because it would ideally be purged and replaced from the ground up.
