Pimento Cheese Spread RecipešŸ˜‹The Future Starts Now

We have an early start to our day and I try to be more productive. I make pimento cheese spread for the first time and it turned out delicious!

I hope to bring joy and encouragement into the lives of those watching ... and I share a short devotion at the end of each video.

PIMENTO CHEESE SPREAD
Recipe yields 2 cups.
Ingredients:
2 cups freshly grated sharp Cheddar cheese (It must be freshly grated or it will not mix well together.)
8 ounces cream cheese, cut into 1ā€ cubes and softened at room temperature
4 ounces pimento peppers, well drained and chopped if in strips
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Ā¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Ā¼ teaspoon onion powder
Salt & pepper, to taste
Optional: Ā¼ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper, and/or Ā½ medium jalapeƱo pepper, ribs and seeds removed, and minced.

Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of your stand mixer, combine the cheddar, cream cheese, pimento peppers, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and if using - cayenne pepper and jalapeƱo.
Beat the mixture together with a hand mixer, your stand mixer, or by hand with a sturdy wooden spoon or spatula. Beat until the mixture is thoroughly combined.
Taste, and add salt and pepper to taste. [I added 1/2 teaspoon Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce] Blend again.
Transfer the mixture to a smaller serving bowl. Chill it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Remove from fridge about 30 minutes to bring up to room temperature to soften before serving.
