This was also made applicable in public utilities and commercial complexes in the region and that was line with a directive from Prince Saud Bin Naif, emir of the Eastern Province
It has been made mandatory for all Saudis and expatriates working in the government and private sectors in the Eastern Province to activate Tawakkalna application to prove their health status before entering their offices effective from Sunday.

The Emir has instructed to take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the region as well as to work seriously to monitor violations of non-compliance of health protocols and take all measures to enhance the level of awareness and protect the society.
Tawakkalna (Covid-19 KSA) is the official app in Saudi Arabia which has been approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and was developed by the National Information Center (NIC) in KSA.
