Communal Pride: The Self-Destructive Path of Hubris

When people come together to uplift themselves, they are in danger of being embarrassed with a shameful name.
Today, we study Genesis 11:1-9. The story of the Tower of Babel is a classic example of how God put to shame people with hubris (extreme pride) when they tried to make a name for themselves. The LORD threw them into confusion.
