OLD SOUTH PITTSBURGH HAUNTED HOSPITAL PARANORMAL ACTIVITY ADVENTURE INVESTIGATION

The Old South Pittsburg Hospital is a haunted[citation needed] abandoned hospital at 1100 Holly Avenue, South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

Before the hospital was built, a plantation stood on the land. In 1920, a fire destroyed the house, killing multiple children.[citation needed]

It was built on what once was Chiaha Native American land. In 1863, Union Soldiers had a battle with the Chiaha tribe. The battle was fought on the battlefield now known as Chickamauga.[citation needed]

The facility first opened in 1959 as the South Pittsburg Municipal Hospital. The 68,000 square foot building was needed to meet the growing demands of the area. The building was created out of limestone and has a spring running beneath it. These two factors of this location is believed in the paranormal world to harness and increase paranormal activity. The two main theories of why this building is so haunted is that it is the loss of the Native Americans and soldiers that died. Others think that it is the death and pain that was in the hospital's walls. The building was divided into many wards; two of the most haunted wards are the Maturity Ward and Psychiatric Wards.

Paranormal[edit]
People claim to hear notices, seen apparitions and shadow figures, and even capture items move.[citation needed] On the third floor, there is a little boy named Buddy. Buddy like to play with toys, and interacts with equipment such as Music Boxes and Rem Pods. There is also a 7 foot tall evil spirit on the 3rd floor. The spirit is believed to be a former surgeon.[citation needed] There is also an elderly lady who travels the halls of the hospital.[citation needed] In the basement, there is 2 spirits. One of them, a nurse, likes to flirt with men who come to visit her. She gained the nickname "Naughty Nurse". The other spirit is a janitor named James that died in the 1960s. Paranormal investigators have also found that the spirits in the hospital can interact through trigger objects. Some objects that work are toys (especially ones that roll or have lights/sound), wheelchairs, medical carts, and other medical equipment. The hospital has tours where you can spend 10 hours at the hospital for $75. Many investigators have been here including Destination Fear, Paranormal Challenge, Ghost Lab, and Haunted Hospitals
