Reporter: Below the surface of Ciudad Juarez, there are places that are not observed on any given regular day. There are rumors that there are tunnels underground.

Interviewee: “Basically, starting from the original mayor's building and downwards there are tunnels with rooms that connect to the several basements on route. There is a tunnel here in downtown that goes over there (points to El Paso), It is rumored that Pancho Villa had rooms filled with weapons, gold and silver hidden in the tunnels. From the people that you ask they tend to say the same thing, Supposedly, there are tunnels today that lead into El Paso. There has to be something in regards to these rumors. There should be a official investigation because if there are tunnels just here in downtown imagine the extent they reach in the city.”

Reporter: The official account in regards to these tunnels is that they are only urban legends. But there are locked gates and entrances that lead underground or into basements in historical buildings.
