Looking for fun things to do near Charlotte NC? Today we are showing you the Petty Museum in Randleman North Carolina. Randleman is a city in Randolph County NC, and Randleman is 91 mi north east of Charlotte which is about an hour and a half drive down 85 on the 62 and the drive is just very easy and beautiful.
The event that we're attending is the Petty fest 2022 Randleman NC where we will be able to see some vintage cars, taste some amazing food off local food trucks and visit inside the Petty Museum where most people say racing history began. Even if you don't follow NASCAR everyone knows about Richard Petty at least the name and knows the legacy that he is built.
One of the coolest things about this family and Richard Petty, I grew up in the area and I as a child heard about Richard Petty's generosity. There was victory junction gang, a camp for children and in 2008 founded the Petty Family Foundation which is nonprofit with has a strong belief in family values, integrity, and compassion for others.
