The latest Kansas City Chiefs News & Rumors headlines for Friday, June 6th, 2022:
- Orlando Brown hires an agent. Brown has signed on with the Delta Sports Group and will be represented by Michael Portner in contract negotiations with the Chiefs. Reports suggest that the Chiefs and Brown fully expect to reach an agreement on a long-term contract before the July 15th deadline for franchise tagged players. Trent Williams is the highest paid OT at $23 million per year. Could Brown top that?
- Tyreek Hill Podcast bombshell? Hill is dropping a podcast on June 10th with his agent Drew Rosenhaus and a co-host. The podcast released a trailer and at the end of it, Hill’s co-host asks him if the Chiefs suppressed Hill’s opportunities last season to try and hurt him in contract negotiations this offseason. The trailer leaves the audience on a cliffhanger as it cuts off before he answers the question. Chiefs Report host Harrison Graham shoots down this idea by outlining his 2021 stats. Hill had the most targets and receptions of his career by a wide margin and his 3rd best year in terms of receiving yards and touchdowns. He was a focal point in the Chiefs offense and they wanted to re-sign him, but the Davante Adams and Christian Kirk contracts changed the WR market drastically.
- Patrick Mahomes opening his first Whataburger in Kansas City. It’s set to open next week. Mahomes released the following statement: “As part of KMO Burger, I am excited our team is opening our first location in Kansas City. It’s great to bring a gift from my first home to my second home.”
