Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis) is a perennial, xerophytic, succulent plant that’s green and has triangular, fleshy leaves with serrated edges. Aloe Vera is a succulent that can be grown indoors as a house plant, or in temperate zones as an outdoor perennial. Aloe vera contains many vitamins and minerals that are vital for proper growth and function of all body systems. People have used it for thousands of years for healing and softening the skin. Its soothing, moisturizing and cooling properties are often used to treat superficial burns and sunburn. Also it can be used during outbreaks of acne It can be used also in desserts, yogurt, and beverages. Growing aloe vera needs plenty of light, but limited direct sun. Overwatering should be avoided, it can lead to the roots rotting.
