Delegation of authority and responsibilities is commonly referred to as decentralization, in which the organization is divided into different sections and departments to help the organization grow scientifically and with a purpose, resulting in harmony in relationships and a healthy environment, which is typically absent in centralized organizational systems. The process of allocating particular responsibilities to subordinates is referred to as "decentralization," and it relates to the spread of power. When such authority is transferred to subordinates, it is always accompanied with suitable authority, which is also delegated to the executive and other lower-level aides. As a result, decentralization refers to the delegation of management and the assignment of responsibility to various executives and other subordinates at lower levels in order to make the lower level more accountable and capable of completing the work assigned to them. But, like everything else, it do also have some disadvantages.
