If you are buying 2ND MTGS at a discount of the UPBs, the average cost in today’s market is 20c on the dollar. If you have $50,000, and it will take $5,000 per loan for a workout, you need to figure out how much capital you can deploy to buy.

If you lower your UPB range to $25,000, you’d be able to spend $5,000 on a loan as opposed to spending $15,000 on a loan.

Lowering your UPB will allow you to get a couple of loans for a little bit of money.
