THE LIL GREENBRIAR SCHOOLHOUSE|SMOKY MOUNTAIN MOST HAUNTED

We're heading up to Gatlinburg soon and I've been reading about the Little Greenbriar Schoolhouse. Although we've been to Metcalf Bottoms picnic area, we've never been to the schoolhouse. From what I understand from reading the DTS site, you can drive to it? I'm asking because I can't do a lot of walking due to a bad knee. Also, it looks as though there are gates across the road leading to the schoolhouse. Are those gates open all the time or are they closed at certain times of the year or....?
