Lloyd makes a traditional Russian style Tushonka canned meat. The process dates back to the Napoleonic era when military rations were canned in wine bottles. Tushonka became popular in Eastern Europe, especially in Russia and Ukraine where it is still made in homes and commercially to this day. The Red Army lived in Tushonka and Kasha throughout world war two but its quality was often suspect.
