He's playing politics. I guarantee Elon knows that CO2 is an essential building block to all carbon based life forms and the planet as well as humans can handle exponentially more CO2. Likewise If it drops down by another 200 ppm, the entire planet may be doomed. We humans should and must encourage the production of CO2 in our atmosphere for a much more robust planet. The plants as well as the entire Eco-system will thrive if we double it, not reduce it.
