The Breastplate of Righteousness - The Armor of God

"Stand firm then, with the #belt of #truth buckled around your #waist, with the #breastplate of #righteousness in place… (Ephesians 6:14)"

Held in place by the belt of truth, it protects a #soldier's vital organs, especially the heart. #Jesus gives you his righteousness to protect your vital parts from #temptation and #evil.

The breastplate can be misworn if truth is not in place, if for instance, there is #unforgiveness, a #legalistic heart, and/or incorrect understanding and #interpretation of #God's word.
