After Roe: Equal Protection and Prosecuting Lawbreakers – Samuel Sey

In this episode, my guest, Samuel Sey, will discuss with me some of the emerging political challenges pro-life advocates are facing in the aftermath of Roe v. Wade. One such issue is whether abortion bans should specifically exempt women from prosecution for illegal abortions. The NRLC recently released an Open Letter to state lawmakers directing them to exempt women from prosecution of illegal abortions in states that attempt to outlaw abortion.

For those of you who missed the letter, here is the link:

We will give our thoughts on this letter that calls for state legislators to exempt women from prosecution for illegal abortions.

In addition, we will discuss whether pro-life legislators should only support complete bans or lesser measures meant to restrict or regulate abortion.
