A Christmas Story display Hammond Indiana visitors center.. 2021

A long time subscriber of mine, Anthony DeMartini, had seen that i liked the Christmas story movie, and liked the N scale build I did of The Parkers house,and that I had been to the movie location in Cleveland Ohio. He informed me of the Indiana visitors center in Hammond. Every year they do a display of the Christmas story movie (Nov. 13 2021 to Jan 02 2021) to honor the boyhood home of Jean Shepherd, the co writer of the movie, as he based the story and some of the characters off some of his boyhood adventures. It is a great display and tribute to the movie. The employee there had told me they use to have the Santa mountain set up for the children that visited, but due to the Show stopper illness going around they had to stop setting it up, that would have been something to see, so if you are ever in the Hammond Indiana area around the holiday season, be sure to stop in and see it..
