IN CHRIST ALONE

For to us a Child is born.
To us a Son is given;
and the government will be on His shoulders.

His name will be called
Wonderful,
Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end,
on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it,
and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on,
even forever.
The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.

... Behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,
"Joseph, son of David, don't be afraid to take to yourself Mary, your wife,
for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
She shall bring forth a Son.
You shall call His name Jesus ["Yehoshua," which means "Yah saves"],
for it is He who shall save His people from their sins."
Now all this has happened, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child,
And shall bring forth a son.
They shall call his name Immanuel;"
Which is, being interpreted, "God with us."

When the fullness of the time came,
God sent out his Son,
born to a woman, born under the law,
that He might redeem those who were under the law,
that we might receive the adoption of children.
And because you are children,
God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying,
"Abba, Father!"
(Galatians 4)

... in Christ Jesus you who once were far off
are made near in the blood of Christ.
For He is our peace, who made both one,
and broke down the middle wall of partition,
having abolished in the flesh the hostility,
the law of commandments contained in ordinances,
that He might create in Himself one new man of the two,
making peace;
and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross,
having killed the hostility thereby.
He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.
For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?
This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
Whoever denies the Son, the same doesn't have the Father.
He who confesses the Son has the Father also.
