CSXT 911 Honoring our first responders. CSX 911 spirit of our first responders

I have been wanting to see the CSX commemorative locos in person for a long time, so when i got word that the 911 would be rolling into the parsons yard in Columbus Ohio I just had to get it, problem was it was just before daylight savings time change and the sun was going down fast. I was hopeful that it would show up before it got dark. Then they decided to throw every train in the state at me first. I did catch it and got some great shots. The next day I decided to see if it was still around based on where they pulled up in the yard, I figured it wasn't going any where. and I was right, but couldn't get close enough to get good shots but was still happy I got to see it in the daylight, Enjoy.

There are 3 commemorative locomotives

The Spirit of our Armed Forces has been renumbered CSXT 1776 and the Spirit of our First Responders is designated CSXT 911. The Spirit of our Law Enforcement is CSXT 3194. All three locomotives are GE Models that we repainted in CSX’s Huntington, W.Va., Locomotive Shop.

CSXT 911 an ES44AH locomotive, is painted in vibrant red with white and gold striped accents along with the logo of program partners First Responders Children’s Foundation and Operation Gratitude. It also features generic police, fire and emergency medical services logos.

When not in regular service, the three locomotives attend various special events across the CSX system.
