The Brick NS 38 geometry train 1 of 2

Wooo Whoo I caught the "Brick" Geometry train. The brick is NS 38 a Research platform which was rebuilt using the frame and trucks of former NS/NW EMD SD40 1620. It has sensing and measuring equipment for track geometry and rail profile, as well as the a generator for itself and the research car NS 36. The Brick is basically a slug weighted to deflect the track. And towed by other locomotive power.. The research car NS 36 contains the recording and processing equipment for the info collected and sent by NS 38.
Also in this video is some great NS and CSX catches while I waited for the "Bricks" crew change. Hope you enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed making this video
