FOOD BANKS: How I Re-Fresh Overripe Fruits and Wilt

BACKGROUNDER TO 800 PLUS ORP
COUNTERTOP STERILIZATION DISCOVERY

WHAT?
First-known successful method of non-destructive fruit and vegetable sterilization, for home use, using under-$200, consumer-type, countertop water ozonator. Larger, $750+, commercial-type ozonators emit the NOx pollutant and ozone levels that cause coughing, thereby requiring fulltime ozone monitors with alarms. Commercial-industrial ozonators also require oxygen concentrators.

HOW IT CAME ABOUT
Testing at the time showed that all consumer water ozonators sold on Amazon Canada had phony wattage and mg/hour specs. Full sterilization requires >800 ORP (“Oxygen Reduction Potential”). Furthermore, the swishing test method used by sellers added >100 non-ozone ORP, and therefore misleading, if not fraudulent, meter-reading increases.

WHY?
Costs of fresh produce keeps on going higher, while Jason, my supermarket produce department manager, says that 6% to 8% end up in the landfill because of spoilage.

RESULT
Effectively turning conventional produce into quasi-organic by destroying pesticides, pathogens, herbicides, and contaminants, Reduced my food costs by 80 percent as my method re-freshes wilted greens, fruits, vegetables aka “dollar bags” at my local markets' reduced-racks.

WHO MADE THIS?
“Canada's Thomas Edison”, according to Sun Peak News. Environmental arts invention-awardee, City of North Vancouver, for the Revived Battery Electric Pickup Truck -- one of the top 10 green inventions according to Vancouver magazine; top intriguing inventions per Canadian Business. Nominated for a Guiness World Record, for curing myself of chronic Lyme in only 53 days; and, for lowering blood pressure by 51 Systolic points in just 26 minutes without any meds. Member of the team that put together the Tap Water Powered Scooter.

WHO COULD USE THIS?
Anyone. Food banks. Local food markets.

SCIENCE?
Studies on ozonation.
