"I started beading more than 25 years ago. My mom taught me when she started working at a bead shop in Oklahoma City. I really made things here and there for myself and friends over the years. I have been doing alot more since my children are getting older. It was just a hobby and my friends encouraged me to start my own business. So I started Heritage Beadwork and Design last fall. I enjoy working with different mediums. I work with seed beads, crystals, wire, semi-precious stone, and metal stamping. I like working with my clients on colors and design. Maybe they liked a pair of seed bead earrings I made but their favorite color is teal. I will make them in that color for them. If a client has a special event coming up and want a matching jewelry set made with a certain color or bead. I will talk to them about likes and dislikes, style and then come up with something for my client. It's a fun process and I think most people like it too. "
