The fifth circuit ruling last week that I think is the beginning of the end of our government's ability to regulate the marketplace a lot of this is a throwback to the so-called Lochner era named after a famous case that was brought against the state of New York at the supreme court, which inhibited I believe the number of hours that workers could work in a week. I think it said like you can't workers need to get paid extra if you're going to make them work over 60 hours a week I think this is off the top my head i can't remember exactly. But we've also seen like the same court and they ruled that the state imposing a limit on the hours that a worker could work interfered with this concept of freedom of contract. If you look into the constitution you will not see the words freedom of contract, because it is a made-up thing like much of what we see on the supreme court: that is a reflection of political values, and that is when two people enter a contract you can either realize that that contract exists and is enforceable because of society…
