Sitting in an old oak tree, high above the earth, breathing in the air.
Feel the subtle shifting of the breeze, sifting thru the leaves, wishing you were hear.
In time we will all disappear, like all who came before.
I know thats the way its always been and the way its meant to be,
right here in this tree theres a slow awakening.

Searching thru the fragments of my mind, the chambers of my heart, for answers hard to find.
The more I know the more I get confused, think I`m gonna hop a train and take a trip back in time.
Cause the devils been knocking on my door, trying to be my friend, but Angels are whispering In my ear.
I hear the beating of their wings, I think I do believe.
Theres a slow awakening.

Running thru walls, running with your shadow always close and near behind.
Slowly you will see, slowly you will feel a subtle but sure awakening.

I remember you lying close beside me, body next to mine, two souls living as one.
But paths change and soon your at the crossroads, there you went your way and I went off to mine.
And the clouds swelled with rain and shed its tears, its falling down on me.
But washing off the old dying skin, letting me breath again, I think I can live.
Theres a slow awakening.

Running thru walls, running with your shadow always close and near behind.
Slowly you will see, slowly you will feel a subtle but sure awakening.
