Today I’m going to pit these meaty, horizontally opposed cylinders of the R 18, against the new 1800 cc kids on the block, the Indian Chief Dark Horse, BMW R 18 and Harley-Davidson Street Bob 114. Let's see how they all measure up when it comes to power, torque, weight and features. Along the way, we’ll determine the power to weight ratio of each bike and give them a little run on my virtual drag strip to try and determine how each might perform, against the other, in terms of acceleration and top speed. We’ll round all that off by placing our ergonomics test dummies, 6’1” BIL and 5’9” TED, onto each bike in an attempt to assess comfort for both taller and average sized riders.
