Boros’s Kick to the Moon Calculated

Boros is probably one of the most absurdly over estimated characters in One Punch Man, and of his many feats that are praised like some sort of god, his moon kick is definitely near the top of that list. So we are going to calculate it so that people can stop worshiping its theoretical potential and see it for the feat it is.

From the time that Saitama leaves Boros's knee to the moment he hits the moon, only 2.92 seconds pass. Using the average distance between the moon and earth,384,400 km, this puts this attack at 294 million Mph or about ⅓ the speed of light. Taking Saitama's weight and solving for relativistic kinetic energy we get a result of 169 megatons of TNT. However, it takes about .15 seconds for this attack to get up to speed yielding an acceleration of over 877 million m/s^2 and a force of 61 billion newtons. Displace this to the moon and we get a power of 5.655 gigatons of a TNT. Leagues more powerful than just using the Kinetic Energy, but still abysmally low tier for the universe Of One Punch Man. In fact, I would bet money that Garou’s centipede feat is several times more powerful.
