In Acts chapter 1, Luke is speaking as he is referring back to the Gospel of Luke and addresses a man by the name of Theophilus. Luke's desire in the beginning of Acts is to help bring the truth of Jesus Christ to Theophilus and give him a faithful account of Jesus's teachings. In today's study of Acts, Pastor Mike Kestler teaches about the gift and power of the Holy Spirit and the importance of receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit in order to reach the world with the gospel.
