Lead Mare joins the herd for dinner and means - Ears back, almost snaking, she means business.

Arthur - our latest rescue - and Penny are eating. Cleo comes over for her dinner and I love watching her body language and how she lets them know who's boss.
She moves Arthur off his feed and then Penny off hers. When she moves Penny, Penny then moves Arthur. Interesting to watch the body language.
And notice the little brumby filly watching all this from the neighbouring paddock . Horses are observant, especially brumbies (wild horses). They have amazing survival instincts and take notice of everything and who is strong.
Cleo was also a rescue and thin when we got her.
