Pipper puppies have arrived!

Pipper just had her litter of parti poodle puppies. She had a total of 12 puppies beginning at at 02:30am and ending about 06:30am. Momma Llama did a wonderful job staying up with Pipper and helping her with this litter of puppies. They are all doing well. We went through the litter together and using her pictures as reference to place color coded collars on all the puppies and get a baseline weight on all 12 puppies. This will assist us in keeping track of there growth rate to make sure that no one falls behind. I will weigh each puppy every morning and night for the next couple weeks and then nightly until the puppies go to there forever homes. In the event a puppy is not putting on weight then we will ensure that puppy gets first dibs on momma and if need be we can supplement that puppy with goats milk but we hope that we don't need to do any of that.The collars also help us in the event of as people start putting deposits down on puppies it will allow people to pick out specific puppies. A few have been spoken for before they were even born this go around but have yet to pick out a specific puppy.
