Easy Cutting Board Build | Beginner's Wood Shop Project | 2021/14

I have been a woodworker since middle school, over 35 years, and I have never made a cutting board. Well, this project is my first attempt at a cutting board. It was amazingly easy, and hesitation I had about building one is now gone. I will be making many more in the months and years to come!

I made this board with walnut scraps from my wood bin, a left-over piece of birch butcher block, and a slab of cherry that was given to me years ago. Even the finishes I used were won in an online contest! The thing of beauty was virtually cost free, but now will become a priceless heirloom!
