Wood Turning: Another WTF! (Wood Turning Fail)

For this project, I took an unknown piece of wood, had it stabilized, then cast it in resin. The wood turned out to be pine, with areas of heavy pine resin, so those areas didn't stabilize. All for the ultimate goal of making a THREADED, lidded box. Needless to say, I failed.
