#107 David Didn't Let His Circumstances Define How His Life Turned Out...

In this episode I have invited one of my fellow Toastmasters to join me on the show to share a comeback story with you. The first time I heard David's story was in his icebreaker speech at one of our meetings and one of his first assignments as a Toastmaster. * David's story was so compelling to me because it told a story that was similar to my own. A young man making bad decisions that have consequences. Some of the choices led to jail and some of them led to homelessness. * Ultimately there was a point in his life when the circumstances didn't direct his choices. His choices started directing his outcomes which led to who he is today. A successful real estate investor, a licensed CA real estate agent, a husband, and a father. * * Here is a short bio: * My story is one of many that you hear so well. I was first arrested at 13, went to jail at age 15. I dropped out of high school, started running the streets, and was a teenage father. I always thought that was the only life for me. Bottom of the barrel. A few years ago things started to change when I made the decision to change. I am now a real estate entrepreneur who invests in emerging markets across the country. I am a licensed CA realtor and started investing in real estate in 2016 by renovating properties and reselling them for a profit. I would like to tell my story to let people know that any dream is possible. You have to believe and accept it with full conviction.
