LEADERSHIP TRAINING:
Think about the great calling that was before King Solomon! His job was to build the temple of the Lord.

LEADERS KNOW HOW TO BUILD:
When they work on big projects, they know how to delegate responsibilities to other people. They know how to manage others effectively.

DON'T SABOTAGE THE MISSION BY BEING A CONTROL FREAK:
Do you constantly feel that you need to do EVERYTHING on your own? You could have tons of volunteers all around you, but you never make the most of them because instead of training them or relying on their expertise, you want to do it all yourself.

LEADERSHIP REQUIRES AWARENESS:
You do realize that you don't know it all, right? You know that there are people who may be more knowledgeable or experienced than you in certain areas. If you're not tapping into this, the outcome of your projects will suffer. You have to be selfless enough to look at the people around you and ask, what gifts do they have? What things are they good at that I'm not? You may want to consider a leadership training course that will show you the art of conducting assessments among your members.

LEADERSHIP REQUIRES HUMILITY:
As great as Solomon was, he understood that he could not build the house of God by himself. Have you ever heard the phrase "if you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room?" Solomon practiced this. He looked for experts who were smarter than him in their respective skill.

GOD'S MINISTRY IS NOT A ONE MAN SHOW! LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR PASTORS:
No man can do everything. Even Christ commissioned 12 disciples to help him, along with 70 more disciples to come thereafter. This is a great example of leadership training for church leaders.

2 Chronicles 2:6-7
6 But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?

7 Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.

Do you remember that Solomon learned under the mentorship of his father, King David? This shows us that all great leaders were once followers.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING ACTIVITIES:
Not only did Solomon find skillful workers, he was wise enough to lead a humongous workforce!

2 Chronicles 2:17
17 And Solomon numbered all the strangers that were in the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred.

Notice how the influence of King David towards his son Solomon is mentioned. Parents, now is your time to invest in leadership training for youth!

LEADERS UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF PLANNING:
There is no way you can manage 153,600 people without having an extremely solid plan! This required serious leadership training for new leaders and leadership training for church workers.
Here, the lesson is that the bigger the mission, the bigger the plan. If Solomon went into this building process having no plan, he would have failed miserably and disgraced the Lord. When you think about how many managers were involved, this shows you that there was leadership training for managers and leadership training for supervisors.

LEADERS PROVIDE RESOURCES:
Think about the wealth that Solomon had. He was the richest man that the world has ever known! In fact, God gave him an abundance of resources because he knew that Solomon was humble and wise enough to make smart decisions. Therefore, Solomon used this wealth to make sure that his team was well equipped with the resources they needed to get the job done.

LEADERS ARE GENERALISTS:
Even though leaders can't be the best at everything, they're willing to learn a little about a LOT of areas. This provides them with perspective into what other people on the team need in order to accomplish the mission. Imagine that you need to build a house, but you don't know anything about project management. How can you help the team get the job done? Entrepreneurs may be skilled in one particular trade, but they know a little bit about all areas of business (marketing, accounting, sales, and customer service, for example). Keep the mentality of a student. And as a student (that's getting leadership training for students), always be willing to learn new things with a growth mindset, because having a wide array of knowledge can come in handy when supporting members of your team.
