Horse watch: The brumbies watching me drive back, the 3 stooges at the fence, Cleo has bitten Arthur

A few videos glued together.

The brumbies Halo and Ava always have eyes on what's going on. Nothing gets past them. That's how they managed to survive in the wild, and their ancestors, survival of the fittest.

Penny, Cleo and Arthur were hanging at the fence when I got back, I had fed them only a short while before. Cleo is being very bossy and Arthur has a bite on his butt. She is really bossing these two around and I'm at a point where I might need to intervene and get her to back off. As I'm a high horse over her.
There would be a number of reasons Cleo is like this, I'm not 100% sure why she is so gnarly with the others. I'm not sure how Tuppy's death has affected her, but I'm sure it's been hard. I think she misses Paddy and Ruby, they are in a paddock across the creek and she spends a lot of time standing over near them. Paddy was the herd baby. We got him as such a tiny foal without his mum. He had/s a lot of mum's in the herd, Especially Cleo and our darling Tuppy. I miss Tuppy terribly. I wonder how the horses feel and how long the memories linger... Elephants certainly remember herd mates for life.

Arthur is still his skinny self, but the last 10 days have been challenging. I've had a close family member in hospital and have been out 10 hours a day, so they've only been fed twice. Mind you, putting on weight slowly will not hurt him now he's not dangerously thin. Sometimes slower is better. It just hurts my eyes to see him so thin.
He has good nutrition and is nicely settled with the girls, even though Cleo is bossy. He adores Penny. They were cuddled together and I took a lovely video and didn't press play!
Enjoy your time with our horses.
