Alpha Particle Mitigation in Electronics

How can we mitigate the effects of alpha particle impacts in electronics operating in space? We simply use voting circuitry. This is focused on FPGA implementations, but the same principle follows for ASICs and conventional logic, as well as board and box level assemblies. The AND gate implementation on the right side of the board is incorrect, but the concept is the same regardless.
