This morning, at approximately 5:00 AM, the Sheriff’s Helicopter “Henry-1” responded to the area of Bloody Rock, located east of Lake Pillsbury, to assist with rescuing a lost elderly person.
CHP - Golden Gate Division Air Operations Helicopter H30 located the missing person and H1 was requested to perform a long line rescue of the patient.
H1 deployed their Tactical Flight Officer (TFO), as well as Rescue Paramedic, via 100 foot long line.
After making contact with the patient, the patient was packaged in a Bauman bag rescue device and flown, via long line, to a nearby landing zone (LZ)).
Once at the LZ, the patient was internally loaded into H1 and subsequently airlifted to a nearby hospital.
Another great example of state and local resources working together to ensure that people receive the help they need, when they need it most.
