Houston Rockets guard Sterling Brown was assaulted at a Miami strip club last Sunday night ahead of a Sunday road game against the Miami Heat. It was not clear as to what instigated the assault, but Andy Slater of FOX Sports 640 in Miami has obtained video of what Brown looked like after the attack.

The video from Slater shows Brown very bloodied. Brown suffered major lacerations on his face and head.

“Last night, Sterling Brown was the victim of an assault," a statement from the team read last week. "He had no prior knowledge of or interaction with the assailants. He suffered facial lacerations but will make a full recovery. Sterling is not playing tonight because of his prior knee injury."

It is currently still unknown as to when Brown will return as a result of his knee injury, which was sustained earlier in the season. Brown last took the court in the team's April 10 loss to the Golden State Warriors, in which he only saw four minutes of playing time.

In 51 games played this season, Brown is averaging 8.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.

Brown, 26, is in his first season with Houston after spending the first three years of his NBA career with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft, but his draft rights were traded to Milwaukee.

The Rockets' season was earlier plagued by a 20-game losing streak that lasted from Feb. 6 to March 21, marking the longest skid in franchise history. The Rockets sit at 15-46, which is last place in the Western Conference.
