Overnight, multiple Pasco Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Seneca at Cypress Creek Apartments in an attempt to locate a stolen truck. Deputies located the truck, which immediately fled from the scene, crashing into multiple items including a garage, a deputy’s patrol car and a tree.

PSO deputies pursued the vehicle, with speeds exceeding 100 mph at times, to Mansfield Blvd. and County Line Rd. where the truck crashed into a pond. The sole occupant, a juvenile from Tampa, was uninjured and was taken into custody without incident for numerous felonies, including vehicle theft and fleeing to elude.

The body worn camera footage shown here captures the beginning of the pursuit and the conclusion. We show this footage to demonstrate the dangerous situations our members face, the professionalism of our members and to inform the community of these real situations that can occur.
