Chaos at Bristol Airport with hundreds queuing "hours" before June half term.

Stranded travelers have reportedly compared the scenes at the airport to "a zoo" with scenes of disorder and confusion.

This has followed weeks of disruption with hundreds of cancelled flights by Easyjet and Tui, and passengers queuing for hours on end.

Over this weekend (28 May), this chaos saw thousands of passengers arrive to board flights ahead of the May half term and bank holiday weekend.

But people have described the scenes as "disgraceful" - reporting on the "awful service"

Angry passengers have taken to social media to express their exasperation.

One said: "#bristolairport just under 2hrs queuing for security and still don't have a gate number for EZY443 to Belfast with 7mins before departure!! #whatsisgoingon".

Bristol Airport, who have previously apologised for the disruption, has been approached for comment on the situation this morning.

On Sunday (29 May), Bristol airport customers revealed delays of up to seven hours long.

It is not the first time passengers have been stuck in long queues, with the airport asking travellers to arrive early if they are due to board a flight amid an exceptionally busy month.

Another commented: "Bristol Zoo, sorry airport was the same for the Mrs on Friday. She made her flight only because it was delayed...

"Try employing more people, even on a temporary basis to cover the holidays. Oh come great asteroid!".

One person claimed they saw "@easyJet staff threaten [someone] with security for filming" - and labelled the situation "an utter shambles!".
