CHP rescues an injured hiker from a trail in Napa

This morning, CHP H-30 responded with the City of Napa Fire Department to a report of an injured hiker in Westwood Park. As H-30 responded a Napa City Firefighter located the hiker on a steep, narrow, and difficult to access trail.
H-30 lowered a Flight Officer/Paramedic to the scene to assist with preparing the patient for the rescue. H-30 returned overhead and hoisted the patient approximately 75 feet to the helicopter. The patient was flown to the trail head and lowered to Napa City Firefighters and AMR Napa County Paramedics.
The hiker was transported by AMR to a local hospital for treatment.
