A police officer in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was on hand to help some ducklings mount a curb and get safely off a highway, bodycam footage released on May 25 shows. “Officer Martinez was … by Tingley beach when he stopped for a duck and her babies crossing the road,” the Albuquerque Police Department said.

The mother duck was able to get up the curb but the ducklings were too small, police said, and they were “running back and forth in traffic.” Martinez stopped traffic and, with the help of a bystander, helped the ducklings over the curb.
